The venturi devices that are inserted at the spine’s inlets introduce air during the flushing process to enhance it. The mixture of air and water enables a more efficient and shorter flushing, therefore saving water, enabling flushing at a low pressure of 1.5 bar and shortening the flushing time. The use of air also cushions the discs, thereby reducing friction and prolonging the life of the disc element.
